How to get to Linsfort Castle

We are 6 kilometres North of Buncrana on the Inishowen Peninsula of Donegal. The Inishowen 100 is the coastal route which runs around the entire peninsula and passes the top of our lane.

From the South or West
  • Go to Buncrana then head northwards out of town past the Supervalu Supermarket
  • After 400 metres turn left  over the small Westbrooke Bridge, following the signs for Inishowen 100 and Dunree.
  • After 400m follow the road sharply to the right.
  • Keep going for about 4km until it forks left at a Finger Post with several signs and hoardings. (a large one for the Laurentic Pub)
  • You will then see a rectangular "Linsfort" sign and take next turn left at our B&B sign,
  • Head  straight on down a narrow lane towards Lough Swilly and Linsfort Castle is 300m on the left.
From the East or North
If you are coming form the North you will already be on the Inishowen 100. Head from Malin Head to Carndonagh to Clonmany.  
From Clonmany to Dunree then head South toward Buncrana.. When you pass the Laurentic pub take the next right and head down the lane to Linsfort Castle.
