Eating at Linsfort Castle B&B

A Little of Linsfort

Wherever possible we try to add a little of Linsfort into everything we put on the table for our visitors, whether it's the natural honey from our bees, fresh eggs daily from our free range hens and, in season produce from our vegetable gardens and fruit and jams from our small orchard. Recently, we have also been working with the award winning Harry’s Restaurant  to source very high quality local produce at reasonable prices.

While our cooking is not professional we believe that we are able to offer a competent standard of home produced dishes. Our breakfast menu is set out below, but if you have any additional special or dietary requirements please let us know. With a little notice we are delighted to offer dinner in our atmospheric Old Irish Kitchen.

Dinner at Linsfort

Why not try a candlelit dinner in the Old Kitchen at Linsfort Castle? Let us prepare your meal while you relax and enjoy a sunset on the terrace or maybe a blazing turf fire in the lounge. We can offer a range of menus to suit your taste and wherever possible will source high quality produce from local suppliers.

For example for our Bridgestone visitors we had a menu of
  • Roast red pepper soup, and home baked bread rolls
  • Linsfort castle salad
  • Freshly caught wild Lough Swilly salmon with potatoes, cabbage, French beans and vegetables and salads freshly  picked from our garden.
  • Creme Catalan and pecan cheesecake flavoured with our natural honey.

We cooked dinner one night, where Sally picked her choice of  vegetables, herbs and salad leaves from the garden, while John gave me the benefit of his extensive knowledge of wines

Vegetarian meals are also one of our specialties and we can offer a range of home cooked ovo lacto or vegan dishes. We will be happy to talk to you and agree a menu of your choice.
